dc.description.abstract The paper considers the prospects for the development of alternative energy forms in Kazakhstan, in particular, wind energy. The article discusses the possibilities of using computer simulation of the aerodynamics of the flow around a three-bladed wind turbine by the ANSYS FLUENT software package. The system of initial equations and boundary conditions for solving the problem in axisymmetric formulation are presented. The results of the construction of the computational domain and 3-dimensional grid CAD-model of the wind turbine using the subroutine ANSYS MESH are shown. The analysis of the adequacy of the results of the calculation of the aerodynamic drag force for the virtual model of the wind turbine at various velocities of the incident flow is made. ru_RU
