Abstract:
A model of an electrostatic spectrometer for the energy analysis of charged particles has been calculated. The instrument is based on a combination of hyperbolic and cylindrical mirrors. The scheme for an energy-and angle-resolved spectrometer which provides angular second-order focusing, high luminosity and exit angle 90 degrees from the source has been theoretically substantiated.
