dc.description.abstract —Four compounds with the general formula GdMIICoO3.5 (MII = Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba) have been pre pared for the first time by hightemperature solidstate reactions between gadolinium(III) oxide, cobalt(II) oxide, and alkalineearth carbonates.
